Mr. Big Shot

Apparently, Michael Cera is on the brink of a backlash. I personally was always under the impression that over 2.5% of the population had to know who you were in order for the world to tire of your shenanigans. But poor, adorable, Cabbage Patch-like (but, duh, waaaay skinnier) Michael Cera's days are numbered, according to the peeps over at Hollywood Elsewhere and a NYT article that seemed to secretly despise him.

I know, I know, one-schtick wonder, blah, blah, blah. He played the same nervous, charming, awkward silence-making kid in Arrested Development, Superbad, Juno, and, now, Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist—which is adorable BEYOND. And while this might get tiring if he goes the balls-out over-the-top comedy route (hi, Jim Carey), it won't if he becomes this generation's romantic-comedy heartthrob. Let's be honest: This same old, same old is the stuff that makes careers—see Hugh Grant (bumbling, indecisive Brit), Colin Firth (bumbling, snobbish Brit), John Cusack (wound-up, quirky nerd), and Matthew McConaughey (laid-back surfer man).

Here, on Letterman in the hoodie as usz promoting N&N and just being all-around amusing. Don't even get me started on how great Letterman has been lately between this, Anne Hathaway, McCain, anyone who's ever been on The Hills. I'll save that for another time.
